The 14 inch H-Mode prototype was qualified at Freudenberg Oil & Gas Technologies early 2018 with the Vector Optima® Subsea connector. The system was qualified according to the DNVGL standard for new technology, DNVGL-RP-A203.

All tests where performed according to procedure and with good comparison with mathematical and numerical simulation models. FE models where all developed internally at Nautilus Subsea, where the whole stroking sequence was simulated.

The system was developed internally between 2015 and 2018 based on more than 30 years of experience from the subsea tie-in industry. All Nautilus employees have experience from development of tie-in solutions from both Aker, Nemo Engineering and KOGT.

The H-Mode system is built up around a simple platform which is utilised for all tie-in applications. The monorail allowes for large reaction forces to be distributed into the structure during the tie-in operation.
